Thank you for the life you have given me and all the times you got up in the middle of the night to take care of me when I was young. Thank you for all the energy you have given me through providing for me financially, cooking meals for me, maintaining a household, clothing me and caring for my needs. Thank you for advocating for what you beleived was for my highest good. Thank you for listening to what I wanted, planning to suprise me with giving me a guinea pig for my birthday, and giving the family a dog to bring us joy. Thank you for the many coats, boots, meals, clothing items, birthday parties, transit tickets, $20 bills, airplane tickets, bill payments, and car rides. Thank you for caring for me when I was sick or not feeling well.

Thank you for the lesson of connection. I appreciate growing up having a friendly relationship with you, and now that I'm older, I'm grateful to see the conditions of that friendly relationship and the many cords and strings attaching me to you. I am now choosing to cut and sever all attachments and to make my way in the world independently and to be responsible for myself.

Thank you for showing me and mirroring me in your guilt and anger, blame, denial and deception. I am grateful to see what I may have become, what I have been and what I still am on some level. I am choosing to change my being now and release my expectations of you, let go of my old angry, negative, and deceptive self, and choose Light, Love and Freedom. I choose to love unconditionally.

Thank you for giving me the platform to act on my own authority. I am grateful for the platform to believe in myself, and I now choose to be simply myself.

In closing, I thank you.
