Grateful to Move On

Gratitude is a mark of a noble soul and a refined character. We like to be around those who are grateful. They tend to brighten all around them. They make others feel better about themselves. They tend to be more humble, more joyful, more likable.

About

Before you are truly done with something you have to be grateful for it

No matter how difficult that something is, negative emotions about it only anchor you to it

It's easy to be grateful for things you instantly recognize as "nice" or "good"...but what about things you initially see as "bad"?

Even the most horrible events?

Especially the most horrible events

In the grand timeline of your life, the events that hurt you happened so that you could learn from them...they are either a platform for you to reach new heights, or a ceiling that you struggle to surpass

This is but one of countless lifetimes your soul has spent on Earth

In a past life perhaps you were the one to cause harm, and in this life you chose to experience what that harm felt like...or vice-versa

Perhaps it became a repeating pattern...get revenge to balance it out...then revenge the revenge...but went too far...now compensating for the overage...lost track of who owes what...endless repeat...

To break the cycle, to close the door behind you, to move on...you may choose to say "enough!"

You may choose to find gratitude

Gratitude for the lesson learned at a soul level

Gratitude for how costly the lesson was, and that you chose to avoid spending more energy on it

Gratitude that someone had to walk a low road so that you could walk the high road

Gratitude to yourself, that you're now wiser
