Feelings

There's a saying that I believe is true. It goes something like, "A person may forget the things you said. A person may forget the things you did. But a person will never forget the way you made him or her feel."

I remember we spent a lot of quality time together. I remember we visited so many places, did a lot of walking and watched a lot of sunsets.

I remember we wrote each other a lot of letters, had a lot of deep, meaningful conversations and said a lot of heartfelt things.

As time passes I don't remember the details as clearly as I used to, but I do remember that our highs were really high, and our lows were really low. I'll always remember how important those feelings are--the highs and the lows--for without them I would have just stagnated. Thanks for meeting up with me in this life so I could learn some lessons and close some doors.
