To think that season 1 first aired in 2007, I wish I had watched it years ago. This story of the struggle of a self-loathing but talented man whose life was spiraling to oblivion truly inspired me. I wish I had seen it at the time I needed that inspiration most.

This portrayal of how a man struggled to deal with loss the only way he knew how really resonated with me. I can relate to how he fought so hard against himself to gain back what he had lost. At the end when faced with his crushing defeat, how he grew just enough to rise above it and was rewarded with what he had sought for so long, is something I'm still working on at the moment, and it helps to have seen another man's perspective. Thank you.
