Grateful to Move On

Facing Unwanted Emotions

Spiral staircase

Message:
In recent years I learned about how I was robbing myself of a living a complete life by running from facing difficult emotions. Instead of facing and feeling them I would distract myself through escapism or just become angered instead. What I also I learned at that time is that "no one ever died from pain", and that the key to getting past these difficult unwanted emotions is to let my heart feel it--refrain from blocking it out. And after I've felt it I can let it go and close. You've presented me with some of the toughest emotions I've gotten over. I'm grateful for how much stronger I am now because of that. Thank you for pointing out those areas where I needed improvement.
